Timeline

This is how it all started.  As a tribute to my late father (Steve Rudneski) this was the first type of aircraft he purchased, a Stinson 108-2 with a Franklin engine.  I learned how to fly with this type of aircraft achieving my private pilot license by 16 years of age and commercial pilot license by 18 years of age.

At 19 years of age I graduated from College with a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.  It was then I decided that Aviation Engineering was the career path to choose working for aircraft operators in Canada, UAE, Bahrain, Papua New Guinea, and Australia.

In the 4th quarter of 1995 and 1st quarter of 1996 I engaged in my first Tech Rep project by escorting this DHC7-102 aircraft (MSN 043, registration VH-UUM) across the Pacific Ocean to Cairns, Australia.  Our journey led us from Bangor, Maine to Mina, Arkansas (where the aircraft was painted), then to West Palm Beach, Florida (where final maintenance was carried out).  The journey then took us to Las Vegas, Nevada then to San Francisco (where the aircraft was tanked).  We then carried on to Honolulu, Hawaii then to Majuro, Marshal Islands then to Honiara, Solomon Islands and finally touching down in Cairns, Australia 5 days after taking off from West Palm Beach, Florida.

In March 1997 I married my best friend, soul mate and now business partner.

Based out of Mesa, Arizona (at the time) the company engaged in its first civilized re-delivery in May 2000.  Boeing 737-400 (MSN 28492) registered HL7593.

The re-delivery took place in Taipei, Taiwan.  The aircraft end of lease was from Operator China Airlines then on-leased to Operator Asiana.

In June 2000, the company engaged in its first Pre-Purchase Inspection in Taipei, Taiwan.  Airbus A320-231 (MSN 0332) registered B-22301.  The Operator was TransAsia Airways.

In July 2001, the company engaged in its first Acquisition Project with the Boeing Asset Management Group in Narita, Japan.  The operator was Japan Airlines.  The aircraft was a B747-200 (MSN 20505) registered JA8111.  At the time, this aircraft was said to be the B747 Fleet Leader in Flight Hours.

In October 2001, the company engaged in its first aircraft repossession post the 9/11 twin tower terror attacks, an event that changed the aviation industry worldwide.  The operator was City Bird based out of Brussels, Belgium.  Qty 4 aircraft were repossessed (two B737-400 & two B737-800 aircraft).

Along with many other Aircraft Operators worldwide, City Bird collapsed only weeks after 9/11.

The second half of 2006 marked a career milestone.  The company engaged with The Boeing Company (TBC) in Taipei, Taiwan in the capacity of managing the records for the Boeing 747-400LCF Program.  After months of rebuilding the records for LCF#1 & LCF#2 both aircraft were certified in the experimental category for flight testing which ultimately led the way for the aircraft to be entered onto the B747-400 Type Certificate Data Sheet on June 7, 2007.

Another career milestone.  The company engaged with The Boeing Company again but this time to program manage a six aircraft acquisition deal from Cathay Pacific Airlines.  Qty 6 Boeing 747-400 BCF, four of which went directly back into service with new operators.

The above photo was taken in 1985 with the Toronto, Canada Skyline in the background and Toronto Island airport in the bottom left corner.  The hangar just above the nose of the Dash 8 is where I started my aircraft engineering apprenticeship.  The DHC8 in the photo (MSN 005) registration C-GGTO manufactured in June 1984 is the first regional commercial aircraft I laid tools on as an apprentice in 1986.

In October 2015 unfortunately this aircraft was caught in a hailstorm at Chinchilla, Queensland, Australia and was subsequently written off by the Insurance Company as the damage was too extensive to repair.

Two years later (almost to the day the aircraft was written off) and 31 years after I first laid tools on this aircraft I put her to bed and watched the crusher chop her up and take her to the scrap yard in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.

October 2020 marked the company’s launch of its new website with over 34 years of Aviation Engineering experience, 25 years of Technical Representation/Consulting experience and having worked with over 30 aircraft operators, 4 Aircraft Leasing Companies and 4 Aircraft Asset Management Groups.

A company milestone with the signing of three new services agreements with companies based in Europe, Asia and Australia.

One of the services agreements is with a Aircraft Leasing Company based in Hong Kong.

Another of the services agreements is with a company base in Europe involving sponsorship of a that company’s employee to have the right to work in Australia for the purpose of setting up a aircraft parts distribution centre in the South Pacific Region.

The largest of the three services agreements is between Jet Aviation Cairns and Aircraft Consultancy Services (ACS) Pty Ltd to provide Consultation Services and CASA Licence coverage for the DHC8-100/200/300 & 400 Aircraft undergoing Heavy Maintenance.

Jet Aviation is one of the world’s
largest and leading Maintenance & Repair Organization. Signing of this services agreement gives ACS a massive opportunity for expansion.
